Kano Suryoyo e.V. is an honorary association for the promotion of education within the Suryoye people. It is the aim of Kano to raise awareness of the role of education, to increase the level of education of our Suryoye in the long run and to establish a strong network among our businessmen, all kinds of graduates and all other education loving people. Since its foundation, Kano is a non-profit, non-religious, non-party and independent organization. Its roots go back to the year 1990, when it was founded as a student association in Paderborn, Germany. In the course of time, it has become the biggest, most active and innovative federation for academics in Central Europe.
Kano counts currently around 450 members, WBAS (World Business association of Suryoye), three active state associations, several university groups and many motivated members in Germany and other countries as India, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, Turkey, Switzerland, Austria, USA, Russia, Lebanon and Syria. Projects, like the Kano awards-show (recurring since 2010), the different international acadamic conferences (recurring since 2005), among them the international seyfo conferences (3x), the first World Conference on Medicine and the foundation of WMAS (World Medical Association of Suryoye), the first World Confernce on Business and the foundation of WBAS (World Business Association of Suryoye) as part of Kano Suryoyo set new standards for the Suryoye. Besides, there are cultural journeys, student information days, workshops, series of lectures, book publications, Apps and many more events and projects taking place that shape the image of Kano Suryoyo as the independent, professional and innovative and international association among our people.
The foundation of Kano is based on a clear and simple philosophy and on strong and unshiftable principles and values. “Independence, respect and appreciation, openness, cooperativeness, determination and sustainability” – they mark the basis for our actions. Small but deliberately chosen steps contributed to the establishment of an international academic network. Education is the foundation (Aramaic: “Kano”) for the future of every individual and of every society. That is why Kano is dedicated primarily to the promotion of education and the networking among those who believe that education will pave the way for a bright future of our people.
